Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy

For Women

For women with clinically evaluated hormone imbalance related to perimenopause or menopause

  • Hormone shifts during perimenopause and menopause can disrupt energy, sleep, mood, libido, and overall quality of life.
  • Hormone therapy is the most effective treatment for hot flashes and night sweats and often improves sleep stability.
  • Stabilizing hormone levels may support increased libido, mental clarity, emotional balance, and long term bone strength after menopause.
  • Treatment is individualized and guided by medical evaluation, lab testing, and ongoing clinical monitoring.

For Men

For men with clinically confirmed testosterone deficiency

  • Testosterone levels naturally decline with age and can affect energy, mood, muscle mass, focus, and sexual health.
  • Testosterone therapy may improve libido, reduce fatigue, and support mood and mental clarity when levels are restored to appropriate ranges.
  • Testosterone therapy helps support bone density and maintain lean muscle mass.
  • Hormones influence fat and muscle balance, so body composition changes may occur, with individual variation.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy

Hormone levels naturally change with age and can affect energy, sleep, mood, weight, cognition, and sexual health. When imbalance occurs, quality of life may decline. Hormone replacement therapy is used to help restore hormonal balance and relieve symptoms when clinically appropriate.

BHRT is used for both women and men and is not limited to menopause. Hormone decline can begin as early as the 30s and may contribute to fatigue, mood changes, sleep disruption, reduced libido, and decreased mental clarity. Men with age related testosterone decline and individuals with other hormone deficiencies may benefit when imbalance is confirmed through testing.

BHRT uses plant derived hormones that are structurally identical to those produced by the body. Treatment is individualized to restore hormones to appropriate physiologic levels and may be delivered through pellets, patches, creams, or oral preparations. Care requires medical evaluation, laboratory testing, and ongoing monitoring to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Estradiol
Pellets

Estradiol implants are formed by compressing bio-identical estrogen into very small cylinders a little larger than a grain of rice, approximately 3 millimeters in diameter. Estradiol pellets avoid what is known as "First Pass Effect" experienced with oral hormones and thus avoid the risks and side effects of oral therapy.

Once the pellets are placed they are very gradually absorbed by the body releasing a continuous slow trickle of hormone into the system, giving very stable levels of hormone for 3 or more months, without daily fluctuations seen with other methods. Most ladies receiving pellet HRT do very well with replacement every 4 months, only 3 treatments per year.

Testosterone
Pellets

Testosterone implants are formed by compressing bio-identical testosterone into very small cylinders a little larger than a grain of rice, approximately 3 to 4 millimeters in diameter. As with estrogen pellets, the testosterone is released in a tiny amount into the system continuously.

The hormone levels are consistent regardless of illness or injury or other factors that affect oral therapy. Pellet therapy ensures that each patient receives the benefit of a steady accurate hormone dose for as long as 6 months.

Unlike testosterone injectables, pellets do not cause sharp spikes followed by crashes in hormone levels. Injections often require weekly or biweekly dosing due to half life and can lead to mood swings, energy fluctuations, and inconsistent symptom control.

The Radiant Anti-Aging Approach

Hormone changes are common over time and can affect energy, sleep, mood, cognition, weight, and sexual health. Hormone Replacement Therapy is used alongside core lifestyle factors such as nutrition, physical activity, and stress management to help manage these effects and support long term well being.

As hormone levels decline with age, quality of life may suffer. Symptoms often include fatigue, irritability, sleep disruption, memory changes, hot flashes, weight gain, reduced libido, and sexual performance issues. Anti-aging care combines hormone therapy with targeted wellness strategies to address these changes and help patients feel and function better.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy focuses on restoring hormones to individualized, research informed levels rather than broad lab reference ranges. Bioidentical hormones are plant derived and structurally identical to those produced by the body. Hormone levels are evaluated through blood, saliva, or urine testing and treatment is tailored to each patient's needs.

Radiant Life Medical Spa offers BHRT pellet therapy, which provides consistent hormone delivery with minimal fluctuation. Pellets require only two to three treatments per year and maintain stable hormone levels without daily or weekly dosing, including during travel or periods of illness, making them a convenient long term option for many patients.
