There are several methods for improving vaginal sexual function and helping to return vaginal and vulvar tissue to a younger healthier state. At Radiant Life Medical Spa we offer two forms of vaginal rejuvenation, which along with hormone balancing can markedly improve a woman’s sexual life. We do not use laser procedures, which work, but because of the nature of laser, cannot be done without at least some surface damage and they cannot be done without pain medication and numbing and some downtime.
ThermiVa® uses radiofrequency energy to gently heat tissue to rejuvenate collagen, without discomfort or downtime. Therma may also stimulate the ingrowth of new nerves and blood vessels, increases vaginal lubrication, improve the elasticity of vaginal tissue, and improve sexual function. The procedure is painless and there is no down time.

Difference
The ideal candidate for vaginal rejuvenation with radiofrequency is a female experiencing sexual dissatisfaction due to reduced sensation, vaginal dryness, or pain with intercourse, or those with incontinence or outer labia laxity. Vaginal rejuvenation with radiofrequency is not recommended for those who are seeking to treat psychosexual dysfunction like low sex drive or anorgasmia.
The results of vaginal rejuvenation with radiofrequency will begin to develop after a series of at least three initial treatments. Maintenance treatments will need to be performed every four to 12 months. The results will be affected by pregnancy and childbirth.

Why should I choose ThermiVa for my non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation?
ThermiVa is able to tighten areas while increasing the volume, appearance, sensation, and functionality of the vagina. This non-invasive procedure also reduces the risks associated with hormone therapy.
While ThermiVa and laser treatments bear the same results, ThermiVa is much quicker and does not require any anesthesia. Instead of utilizing lasers, ThermiVa uses an “S” shaped wand with a thermistor tip to perform the treatment. Laser treatments do not treat the labia while ThermiVa treats the labia majora and minora.
Does it hurt?
No. It is possible to feel a warm sensation during treatment but there is no pain involved.
Why is ThermiVa performed in stages?
ThermiVa is conducted in three separate treatments over three months. Each treatment takes 20-30 minutes to complete.The maximum treatment for effective results is to perform three 30-minute treatments on a monthly basis for three months, and then repeat the procedure once every year or year and a half.
